Water marbling nail art with O.P.I. polishes and tips and pointers

Water marbling nail art with O.P.I. polishes and tips and pointers
I've been watching YouTube videos of water marbling for a while and wanted all those crazy swirls, petals and waves on my nails, too. Below are pictures of my first two attempts. I think there has been visible improvement! I keep getting air bubbles but the good news is that they are fewer than the ones I got in my first attempt. Also, I shouldn't have burst the air bubbles.
I used O.P.I. Jade is the New Black as the base colour, and O.P.I. Purple With A Purpose and O.P.I. Alpine Snow for the watermarbling. I was brave enough to wear this mani on my birthday.

Here are some pointers for reasonably successful watermarbling:

Second attempt - see where I burst the air bubbles
Stick to two or three colours at the most. You can use up even gloopy polishes. Work fast, before the polish layer dries up. Gently put the tip of the brush into the water surface and let the polish spread, rather than drop the polish - it'll sink! Always cover your fingers with plenty of tape so that polish doesn't go all over the place. I spent ages cleaning up my floor and sheet. To get petals/swirls/waves/patterns, take a pointed object - anything from a hairpin to an orange stick and gently skim over the polish surface so that designs are formed. Then dip your nail fully into the water (along the design area). Beware of air bubbles. This takes practice. My first attempt only had air bubbles, the third attempt had just two. Change the water after every two nails. Scroll down to the bottom to see what happens if you don't! Good luck! Do share your attempts!
First attempt. Still yuck.

O.P.I. Purple With A Purpose and Jade Is The New Black - change the water after every two nails; otherwise this happens.
