Hallowe'en mani 4: Spiders and webs on my nails

Spider and web Hallowe'en nail art with OPI Chop sticking to my story and tape manicure
Happy Hallowe'en, everyone! It's time to bring in the traditional orange and black Hallowe'en nail art. The first idea that struck me was cobwebs. And, with my unsteady freehand, I knew I'd make a mess. I had invested in nail tape from eBay recently, so here is my first tape manicure.

I first applied two coats of O.P.I. Chopsticking To My Story. This is a fabulously buttery creme from the Hong Kong collection. Very opaque and smooth. When I had to pick just the one orange polish, I went in for this over Hot And Spicy. Chopsticking To My Story reminds me of a pumpkin itself and I'll use it in my last Hallowe'en mani for this year as well.
I then placed the tape as framework for the cobwebs, cutting it down to size. I also applied top coat over the tape so it wouldn't peel off. I used my Konad nail art pen to fill in the gaps and make the cobwebs look decent. I made spider-bodies with dotting tools and gave them legs with the nail art pen. The strand of cobweb is tape. The spiders' eyes are with my white nail art pen.

What did you think of this? And how would you compare it with my other Hallowe'en manis so far? If you've done a Hallowe'en mani, I'd love to take a look. Watch out for my fifth and last Hallowe'en nail challenge entry for 2013 shortly.
Enjoy your Hallowe'en night!
