Hallowe'en mani 5: Pumpkin patch in the sky and on the nails

I wanted to do something like the Great Pumpkin Patch In The Sky for my final Hallowe'en manicure (Free For All) of 2013. But I wanted a brighter contrast to the orange of the pumpkins, so I picked Zoya Jo polish for the blue. I have done a recent mani with Zoya Jo - you can view it here.

For the orange, I opted for O.P.I.'s Chop Sticking To My Story, which also featured in yesterday's Hallowe'en manicure, spiders, webs and all. I liked that there's a contrast between the O.P.I. creme formula and the Zoya shimmer. I've tried a dotting tool for the pumpkin on the index finger, the polish brush itself for the middle and ring fingers and a nail art brush for the little finger.

It was with the black stripes that I had trouble. How do people ever manage to hold nail art brushes steady? I get some squiggly lines at best, whether it is the nail art pen or a nail brush. And the tendrils look worse. Oh, and the green "stalks" are Zoya Shawn.
This brings my Hallowe'en nail challenges to a close for this year. I hope everyone had a happy and safe Hallowe'en.
