Glitter NOTD with Etude House Play Nail polish over China Glaze Flyin' High

Whoa. It isn't just Korean cosmetics that rock - it is their nail polish, too! The Etude House Play Nails in #121, hauled from W2Beauty, has wowed me so much so that I'm going to haul a bunch of Korean nail polishes in January. It just goes to show that you don't have to look the indie way for your glitter fix - mainstream polish manufacturers such as O.P.I., China Glaze and others can produce amazing multi glitters in a variety of shapes, colours and textures as well. Oh, and I've cut myself with the cuticle remover on the ring finger. Argh!
This manicure is Etude House Play Nail #121 worn over China Glaze Flyin' High nail polish.

I almost didn't buy China Glaze Flyin' High after seeing that some of the swatches looked teal and green. But the truth is that this is a bright, bright, bright medium blue. Bright, once more. Veering ever so slightly towards aquamarine. A beautiful creme polish that needs just the one coat for opacity. For the first time in my photographic history, my camera has actually captured the colour of a nail polish more accurately than swatches by several other bloggers!

Flyin' High is from the Up And Away collection by China Glaze. I have already swatched Four Leaf Clover from this same collection here, and my camera produced a bright turquoise colour instead of the neon green it actually was, so I had my apprehensions while photographing Flyin' High. For once, I underestimated my camera. Long may it last!
I didn't have any trouble with the Etude House Play Nail polish - no fishing, honestly! You have the most gorgeous diamond glitter in purple, red, black, silver and white and bar glitter in black and white. Lots happening in here.

Formula is a breeze. I applied two coats for this much glitter. And the best part is that even the large diamond glitter particles remain flat and don't curl up to poke and prod at your skin for the next few days. I topped up with Rimmel Pro Super Wear topcoat - just the one coat there. Photographs taken in natural light and in direct sunlight. I'm afraid the camera has captured the glare on the topcoat in natural light. You can get the Etude House Play Nail polishes here. Use the code 2758605 in the registration form for a $5 voucher.
I have some glitter polishes from Innisfree and Missha - all Korean - to swatch, but they'll have to wait till I come back.
I'm going to buy quite a bit of polish next week! Stay tuned for my "What Renu bought today" posts!
