Teeez Trendy Mascara Midnight Sky review, swatch

Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Mascara Midnight Sky review, swatch, photos
Today is a very special day - my beloved "Gramps" and Gran celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary! It means all the more because last year, he was diagnosed with malignancy. So I am having a blast celebrating with them.
Teeez Trendy Cosmetics is one new brand I discovered and fell in love with in 2014. Although the year is not over, I doubt I will be this wowed by another brand-discovery. Teeez first came in my Lip Factory beauty box, with an eyeshadow and an eyeliner. This was followed by a mascara and a lipstick, and I decided to order more. But I will show off those lipsticks shamelessly later.
Teeez is Dutch-based, paraben-free, cruelty-free and animal derivative-free and packed in jawdroppingly beautiful cases and external boxes.

Here is my review  of the Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara in Midnight Sky.

Packaging of Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara

Need I even talk about the packaging? This is Teeez we are talking about and they are known for their packaging. Both the external box and the tube have the Teeez-special design.

The tube has a metal finish and is very striking.

Formula and applicator of Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara

The wand is an absolute dupe for my favourite mascara ever, Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes.

But the wands are only one-tenths of the equation. A good mascara is all about the formula. Teeez promises volume with this and says it is smudge-proof and long-lasting. The formula is thick and gooey. Hypnose Doll Eyes is more "lightweight" and less gooey. Midnight Sky is a deep black mascara.
Now for the ingredients. Paraben-free, of course.

Before and after photos of the Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Mascara in Midnight Sky

As you can see, I have only fuzz on my eyelids, not eyelashes. You have to look from an angle to actually see the lashes, which is why the photograph looks like this.

And after one wiggled-on coat:

Dramatic difference there, innit? This was without using an instrument of torture eyelash curler.
I did not notice any flaking with this mascara. Drying time was decent and the mascara stayed on without any problems though a work day.
Now for what I think about it. Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes remains my Holy Grail mascara for the dramatic lengthening it gives me - see here for Hypnose Doll Eyes swatches and review. But this is not half bad for both volume and length and could be a budget option. It clumps a fair bit, though, as you can see, whereas Hypnose Doll Eyes does not clump at all but separates my lashes nicely.
Summary
Those are significant results, and I will use up this tube. But will I repurchase? Probably not. I still want that dupe that wows me as much as Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes does.
I got this in a beauty box for which I paid; Lip Factory sells it on their website, and they do ship worldwide.
Oh, and this is what I have in store for Gramps and Gran. The package is a little silver keepsake box. I hope they have the best day of their lives today!
