Lori Greiner Spinning Cosmetics Storage Organiser review

Makeup storage ideas: Lori Greiner rotating cosmetics organiser reviewRemember when I showed you my brand new Etude House 360° Princess Rotating Makeup Organiser here, I told you I had a far nicer rotating cosmetics organiser? Well, this is the one, from QVC queen Lori Greiner. And, I blame Laura of My Newest Addiction entirely for making me want it. The moment I saw it on her blog, I was blown away and it went straight on my birthday wantlist. Thankfully, the fates my family decided to oblige.
While the Lori Greiner organiser does not hold even one-fourths of my stash, I use it solely to store my everyday makeup products - no cleansers, scrubs or sheet masks; no "special occasion" products, no nail polish and no lipsticks or coloured eyeliners and the like. My lipsticks and lip balms go into a separate drawer in my vanity anyway. Just whatever foundations, eyeshadows, primers, mascaras and skin care I use (even if I rotate) on a day-to-day basis.
For its size, it holds quite a lot. NINE long eyeshadow palettes. TEN compacts, be they foundations, blushes or bronzers. All the brushes you need in a routine.

Here is my review of the Tabletop Spinning Cosmetics Organiser by Lori Greiner.

The Lori Greiner Organiser is broader and heavier than the Etude House Organiser. On the other hand, it is also much sturdier. It does not need assembling. And, it stores more, with more compartments.

The Etude House organiser is pentagonal or five-sided, whereas the Lori Greiner one is hexagonal. Also, this comes attached on a stand, upon which it rotates. The inner corners of the some of the shelves are triangular, just like in the Etude House organiser, which means you will need to put in boxes or something square to save space in there.
Each shelf is about 3'' deep and 5'' wide. Height varies. The Etude House shelves are 5'' x 5'' flat, with adjustable height.

Being hexagonal, the Lori Greiner organiser can hold more products. On each side, the compartments are of different sizes. Some are meant to store compacts, others, small jars and pots, while some can hold larger bottles.

The top "shelf" can be removed - it is meant to hold lipsticks, brushes, eyeliners, concealer sticks and smaller tubes or bottles.

Once you remove it, you get a little "secret" compartment, where I store my Beautyblenders.

The compact shelves have dividers that you can remove, if you want to store something bigger. There are two such shelves, which means you can get 10 compacts in.

The best feature in this organiser is the long horizontal area that runs through the body - you can store long palettes such as the Too Faced Chocolate Bar or Lorac Pro, as I have done. It holds nine palettes for me, including Chocolate Bar with the external box and Urban Decay N@ked 1. I put smaller palettes such as Sleek and theBalm's Meet Matte in the sides.

As I said, the whole stash may definitely not go in here. Not even one-fourths. But this is a handy way of ensuring that the top of the vanity or desk is clutter-free and your everyday products are all in one place.
Whatever is on my organiser keeps changing, especially if I am travelling and have taken a few things off the shelves. You can check out some more pictures below - please click to enlarge for a closer look:

Lori Greiner has a lovely range of makeup organisers in varying sizes. Some are tabletop, like this one, while others need to go on the floor. I am now eyeing the Oak Spinning Organiser, which is a cupboard in itself, and the Luxury Deluxe Wood Cosmetics Box. The latter, in particular, looks like it will hold my entire lipstick, eyeshadow, blush/bronzer, eyeliner, brush and foundation stash. That is pretty much everything, and the box is seriously compact. Think I will add it to my wedding registry when the time comes. Or Christmas wishlist! :D

This is sold on QVC for $30, but it is also available in the Gulf. I have no idea how much it costs there - even if, by miracle, I managed to keep and go through invoices, this one was a birthday present. Given, I believe, with the ulterior motive that I would manage to keep my things in order. High hopes!
