Cacao Memebox review, unboxing

Memebox Cacao beauty box review, unboxing, photos
A chocolate-special beauty box sounds like the ultimate dream, does it not? The moment this box was released, I bought it. It was one of those Memeboxes that sold out rather quickly. No surprises there. As a rule, I prefer eating white chocolate over anything with brown cocoa, but I'll take skincare with any kind of chocolate, please!
The heady smell of cocoa hits you the moment you open the box. It is rather like opening a large box of Cadbury's (I am not quite reconciled to the idea of Kraft buying the company) best selections. I have no idea how to take you through the experience - as you read through this post, would you please imagine that you are actually in a chocolate factory? Or, better still, go grab a bar before I show you the contents. Trust me on this one.

Here is my unboxing and review of the Memebox Cacao Special beauty box #11.

Grabbed your chocolate bar? Open it and take a bite. See the large vats of chocolate around? Good. Here we go.
Even the product card smells of chocolate after its sojourn with so much cocoa-goodness.

The external box is a little different from the usual Memeboxes. I wish they had sent out a chocolate-coloured or themed external box as well!

Here are the contents of the Memebox Cacao Special beauty box #11:

  1. Etude House Milk Talk 200ml
  2. WondeRuci Cacao Brightening Mask 100g
  3. Pure Smile Chocolate Milk Essence Mask - one sheet
  4. Evas Vitamin Cleansing Dessert - Coconut and Cacao 130g
  5. Pure Smile Choosy Lip Scrub Chocolate 25g
  6. Purederm Nose Strips - six - Choco Cacao

All seven products are full-sized, which is quite nice a deal for $23. Still eating your chocolate? A quick look at each product, then.

Etude House Milk Talk 200ml

This doubles as shower gel and bubble bath and smells even better than the thing you are eating. I will be using it as both - it is going straight into my shower. You only need 15ml for a bath, apparently, so it should last for a while. Yum!

WondeRuci Cacao Brightening Mask 100g

This is my absolute favourite product from this box. Take a look at the thick chocolate product below. I only wish it had come with a spatula, though I have enough spares to use. This is supposed to unclog pores and deep-cleanse without stripping the skin of moisture. Just in time for a weekend-pampering session, I say!

Pure Smile Chocolate Milk Essence sheet mask

Throughout this month, I have diligently been using face masks and the result is visible, according to friends and family. This is going to be the sheet mask I use next. I have no idea how it smells, but I hope it smells like chocolate as well!

Evas Vitamin Cleansing Dessert in Coconut and Cacao 130g

This is a face cleansing cream. You know I love rotating face cleansers in my routine (see post here) so this is definitely going to be used. It smells just like a large bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk. I hope they send out the berry or red wine version of this in the Vitamin Special beauty box seen here, which I have bought - oooh, I NEED the red wine cleanser! Especially after a nice out with a heavy meal and a glass of Merlot.

Pure Smile Choosy Lip Scrub in Chocolate 25g

I am a huge fan of the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, reviewed here, and doubt I will find anything that comes as close. I have not opened this yet - the thing is, you can EAT the Lush scrub afterwards, but you cannot eat this. You see my problem?

Purederm Nose Pore Strips in Choco Cacao - six strips

I am not a fan of nose strips. IMO, they just sit there and do nothing. A scrub, or the Konjac sponge or the Foreo Luna, on the other hand, do a much better job removing blackheads and whiteheads. But since these are chocolate-scented, I will use them while reading a book in the bath.

Summary and Memebox deals
Before my closing remarks, I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as you enjoyed eating your chocolate.I must say that unboxing this and just looking at and smelling everything has given me as much pleasure as using these products, or eating a bar of Schogetten Stracciatella (my current favourite) will.
Definitely one of the best Memeboxes so far. Don't you think that was a fabulous deal for just $23? This is why it is so important to buy Memeboxes as soon as they launch - they sell out that quickly, I assure you!
Global Edition beauty box 17 is available now here, as also an Earth and Sea special box (think volcanic ash, charcoal, marine/seaweed....) here and a Tea Special beauty box here. I am also interested in the Scrub box here, especially because it promises to scrub off flakes from the scalp as well! Today, second editions of the My Cute Wishlist box (think cutesy packaging) and the OMG box (kooky and innovative ingredients) and the best of Korean makeup box have been released, as well. I proceeded to take the total number of Memeboxes purchased to a decent 55 by ordering the Cute box and the OMG box as a bundle from here.
Do check out other Memeboxes on offer here and the Superboxes on sale here, and all box-bundles to save on shipping here.
Do use my referral code NS8OZ9 to get $5 off your order until July 31. Go through my link here to check out other deals on the boxes listed on this page. Another code, MEMEBUNDLE3, is good for an extra $5 off if you buy three boxes, through the month. No code can be used more than once or combined with another.
P.S. Please sign this petition to get Memebox to ship to all countries, even if they already ship to your country. Thanks muchly! I paid for this box; it is not a PR sample. Post may contain affiliate links.
  1. Every time you post about Memeboxes, you make me more excited for my box to come!! This sounds like an all-around great box, I'm really thinking that bubble bath sounds great especially!

  2. To be honest, what surprised me with this box is that it didn't seem to sell out all that quickly - it was available for weeks and weeks, whereas some boxes go within hours. But I was really glad I ordered it. All of the products are really fun to use. My only criticism is I think they could've added in at least another sheet mask, since they're only $1

The scrub looks just like a tub of melted chocolate - I am half-tempted to scoop out a bit with a spoon and eat it up lol.

No way, not weird at all - I myself downed half a bar of white chocolate thanks to the smells and sights of this one. I have heard of Vain Pursuits - personalised skincare sounds ideal, especially for acne-prone people like me. I just signed up for their waiting list :)

  19. You need to try the nose strips ! I gave up on the ones I could buy in America cause they changed the formula and they no longer work, but these !!! WOW restored my faith, they work great ! You have to try them !

Are those the Biore ones? I tried them a couple of years ago but never again, so I didn't know the formula had changed. Somehow, maybe because I got into beauty products over the last couple of years and have been exfoliating and scrubbing diligently, but the strips don't seem to remove as much gunk as the Biore strip did back then.
