Wish Trend Cleansing Box review, unboxing

Wish Trend Cleansing Box review, unboxing, photos
You have seen the Memebox Special 19 Cleansing Kit yesterday here. I thought it might be a good idea to compare it with another cleansing box, also Korean, from a beauty box company I first told you about last year.
I had shown you the Wish Box 14 here and Wish Box 15 here from Wishtrend. This is Wish Box 24, All About Cleansing. This box is based on the maxim that it is more important to wash your face clean than to wear makeup. I agree. A breakout follows EVERY time I go to bed without removing all my makeup fully.
Unlike other beauty boxes, Wish Boxes come only in the external mailing box, and are released sporadically and not regularly or monthly. All boxes are pre-unboxed so you can go through the products in detail before you decide to buy, and there is no danger of nasty surprises.

Here is my review of the All About Cleansing Wish Box from Wishtrend, a Korean beauty retailer that ships worldwide.

The contents of the Wishtrend Cleansing box are:

  1. Skinmiso Real Clean Peeling Gel 200ml
  2. Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser 100ml
  3. Rojukiss Pore Deep Cleansing Oil 200ml
  4. Chica Y Chico Konjac Sponge
This box contains the products I had expected from a cleansing box - a foaming cleanser, a peeling gel, a cleansing oil and a cleansing tool of some kind. Everything here is full-sized and that too, generously so! I especially like that the packaging of everything chosen is white and clean. A quick look at each.

Skinmiso Real Clean Peeling Gel 200ml

I have used Skinmiso pore packs before but nothing else. It is only over the last couple of months that I have been trying out peeling gels and discovering their "magic". I love how they exfoliate and cleanse without harsh scrubs or harmful microbeads. I have tried this just once last night and love it already.

If you are worried about chemicals, this gel consists of plant extracts, including papaya, brown and red algae, citrus fruits, seaweed, some kind of sea vegetable and a flowering plant called Saxifraga Sarmentosa. The only point to keep in mind is not to use a peeling gel more than once a week, since you do not want your skin peeled off entirely with the sinus cavities exposed. God, I have been watching too many horror films.

Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser 100ml

This is a hypoallergenic amino acid face wash which does not strip the skin of moisture. It contains aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, tea tree oil and other Chinese herb extracts. I will remember this product for the AMAZING customer care from Wishtrend.

This bottle leaked heavily in my box, as you can see below, and quite a bit of product has been lost - when I shake it, there is very little inside. I sent them an email. Within 12 hours, I received a reply saying they were sending me a replacement! Will some of the other Korean beauty boxes KINDLY learn from Wishtrend and reply to emails promptly and address customer issues asap? Full marks to Wishtrend.

Rojukiss Pore Deep Cleansing Oil 200ml

Ah, now this is the product I want all cleansing boxes to have. Apparently cleansing oils can dissolve both sebum and makeup, making for a one-step solution without breaking you out. When you apply this on a wet face, it turns milky! Ingredients include sunflower, olive and evening primrose oils, peony, lily of the valley, magnolia, gypsophila and papaya extracts. Watch out for a detailed review of this soon!

Chica Y Chico Konjac Sponge

In my opinion, NO Korean or Japanese cleansing routine can be complete without the konjac sponge. You know I love the konjac sponge and can never have enough. This is 100% natural konjac from Jeju Island in Korea. I think I need to go have a look at the number of konjac sponges I have right now - Four? Five? - before deciding whether to keep it or swap it.

Summary
THIS is a real cleansing box. No masks, no hydrating products, nothing for a specific skin type (such as acne-control washes). It contains a foam cleanser, a cleansing oil, a peeling gel and a konjac sponge. I would also have liked to see a makeup remover in there, but some of these products do a great job at makeup removal anyway. Or maybe a pore brush instead of the konjac sponge, because I have so many konjac sponges. But then Konjac sponges are a lot more "Korean". Also, all the brands here are famous - Skinmiso, Klairs and Rojukiss are available on most Korean beauty websites and have been around for a while. Nothing unknown or potentially dodgy.
Also, take a moment to reflect on customer care. You know I spent the better part of six weeks constantly emailing a company about a broken lipstick and a missing beauty box and ended up with store credit. Kudos to the Wishtrend customer care! This is how it should be.
You can get this box here. Do check out other Wish Boxes here. I have also got the Bestseller Trial kit and will show it to you shortly. Right now, I am being tempted by the Mask box!
