Honestskin Korean Cosmetics 2nd Gift Event package

Check out the Korean beauty goodies I won in a gift event recently.

A few weeks ago, I entered a gift event sponsored by Korean beauty retailer Honestskin - yes, they do ship worldwide - and was delighted to find myself the winner. The prizes were a mix of beauty products from leading Korean brands, including skincare and makeup. I received the IOPE Super Vital Cream VIP Special Gift Set, the Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB Cream with SPF 27, and the Etude House Color Lips-Fit lip tint in OR201. IOPE Super Vital Cream VIP Special Gift Set

A high-end Korean cosmeceutical brand owned by Amore Pacific, IOPE is well-known all over the world for retinol-based skincare. The Super Vital VIP Special Gift set contains a softener, an emulsion, a serum, a moisturising cream and an eye cream - five products that are an essential part of the Korean skin moisturising routine.
The eye cream is very hydrating (does nothing for dark circles) and the bio intensive moisturising cream is great on the neck. I am not a huge fan of the softener, which tingles a bit - I have very sensitive skin.
The emulsion feels like a very mild toner, while the serum reminds me of Boots No 7, though the IOPE version is runnier.

Nature Republic Collagen HD Essencial BB cream

The problem with Korean BB creams finding a shade-match. You are not going to find anything beyond, say, NC 27 or 30 at the most, so I always get BB creams which are too pale for me. CC creams are better; they are intended for colour correction and cover more shade variations. This is too pale for my skintone; you can see a swatch at the end of this post.

Etude House Color Lips-fit in OR201

I am a huge fan of the Etude House Rosy Lips Tint, reviewed here. The Color Lips-fit is the second Etude House lip product I have tried. This is a matte-finish liquid lipstick that reminds me of the Sephora Lip Stains, reviewed here, though these are a tad sheerer. The shade I received is a very pretty orange - check out swatches below.
