LookFantastic Beauty Box January 2018 Unboxing, Review, Contents

A New Year means taking stock of everything, beauty box subscriptions included. I've decided to keep just the one subscription box this year, and it is the LookFantastic Beauty Box.
Why? For starters, it's just £12 or so per month, since I'm on a long-term subscription. For another, I don't pay upfront; only each month when the box ships out. For a third, there are some nice perks, such as a discount on the amazing Advent Calendar. Fourthly, on an average, the boxes are quite nice, and come with extras such as the Elle Magazine.
So let's take a look at LookFantastic's first beauty box for 2018. They've revamped the box design - a nice periwinkle blue and mint green combo. The product leaflet has also undergone a makeover.

Here is my unboxing video, with thoughts on the products. Please give a thumbs-up, and also do subscribe to my channel!

For those who came in late, LookFantastic is a UK-based beauty box that ships worldwide. Each box costs £15, though longer subscriptions cost less. As I said, there is no prepayment required.

I received:

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum
Monuspa Warming Ginger Bath and Body Oil
Erno Laszlo White Marble Essence
Espa Scalp Mud
Korres White Tree Cleanser
ModelCo Lash Primer

Six products. Nothing full-sized. That's my first gripe. The second is the lack of makeup. I am a skincare junkie, yes, and enjoy trying out new things, but it would be nice to shake it up a bit with an eyeshadow or a lipstick!
Also, for the first box of the New Year, you expect a bit more... oomph! This was underwhelming for a January box, with six small skincare/bath samples. This would have been a forgivable August, or July box, maybe, in the run-up to the Holiday season.
I am pleased to be able to try out Espa (I hope they send out more from the brand), and Erno Laszlo is always welcome. A lash primer is just gimmicky, and I hate it when I have white flecks peeking through even after I apply mascara. The rest are okay, though nothing wowing.
Hopefully, there will be improvement in the February box - spoilers reveal that it is Valentine's Day themed, and that there's a 10ml sample of Caudalie's SOS serum in there (a product I love).
