Every year, Selfridges does a luxury beauty advent calendar, featuring high-end brands from the L'Oreal group, as well as a more affordable multi-brand advent calendar. The latter used to be called the Beauty Workshop Advent Calendar, though over the last couple of years, Selfridges merely names it the Beauty Advent Calendar.
This year's edition costs £70, and contains 24 products, totally worth £250.

The design is beautiful and blingy, ideal for the Holiday season. That said, I wish Selfridges would opt for drawers in their advent calendars, in lieu of the perforated doors, which are a huge pain to open. Plus, these cannot be repurposed, unlike drawer-packaging, which you can reuse for storage.

Verdict, and where to buy:
Nice mix there, and the calendar isn't too dear at £70. The brands range from Lord & Berry to higher-end offerings such as Dr Dennis Gross and Omorovicza. I want to try out the Beautyblender Liner.Designer for myself.I would have liked to see some more full sizes - LookFantastic, at a similar price point, has nine full-sizes. I would also have liked to see more makeup. There are just six makeup products in here, out of 24. A more equal number of skincare, makeup, and bath and body products would have been nicer.
