MUA Spring Break Eyeshadow Palette swatches, review

Rosy-neutral Spring 2015 palette from Makeup Academy.

MUA Makeup Academy Spring Break Eyeshadow Palette review, swatches

Makeup Academy (MUA) makes some amazing eyeshadow palettes and they cost just £4 on an average. The latest in their inventory is the Spring Break Palette, for Spring 2015. It contains some shimmery roses, soft pinks and neutrals with a couple of other shades thrown in for good measure. Very fresh, Spring-y shades, and I have a weakness for rosy, lilac and soft rose-gold shadows, so I declared my intention to buy this palette on social media as soon as I saw this on the MUA website. And, much to my delight, the eyeshadows were even more attractive in person!

Check out the review and swatches of the Spring Break Eyeshadow Palette from Makeup Academy (MUA).

Huge haul: Sleek, Benefit, MUA, Soap & Glory, Dirty Works....

Recently I came across a group called Order Makeup UK that would get UK and US brands delivered at home without all the customs-dangerous-goods-duty-lost-in-post headaches. I gave them a list of brands whose pricelists I wanted, and they actually managed to get me Dirty Works - I didn't know Dirty Works even sold outside Sainsbury's!

EOTD: Subtle No7 eye and Bourjois's 150th

I had swapped a beauty box with the lovely Elle back in April. Among the things she sent me was a No7 spring beauty bag, which contained a No7 Extreme Length mascara, a stunning lipstick, an eyeshadow and a day cream. She also sent me a MUA eyeliner in Shade 5.

Swatches and review of MUA Glitterball, Glamour Days and Immaculate Collection eyeshadow palettes

Swatches, review and comparison of MUA eyeshadow palettes Glamour Days, MUA Immaculate Collection and MUA Glitterball
Here are swatches, comparisons and reviews of the MUA Glamour Days palette, the Glitterball palette and the 24-eyeshadow Immaculate Collection palette. You realise that I have one scrawny arm (attached to a body that weighs 48kg) free to swatch, and 48 eyeshadows? Something has got to give. With that caveat, I hope you're kind about the lousy swatch-pictures.

My first beauty box swap featuring makeup, skin care and other goodies

Last month, the lovely Elle May had asked if I wanted to do a beauty box swap with her. I was apprehensive about the postal services. But I was so excited about it nonetheless.
Elle and I had agreed on a budget of £25 excluding postage, though we did include some gifts in our respective boxes :D We discussed likes, dislikes and allergies and had such fun over quite a few emails. Elle got the box I sent her safe and sound. Her parcel to me arrived on Saturday and I was so thrilled, I almost opened it then and there before realising I needed to take photographs.

E.L.F. warm 32 piece eyeshadow palette swatches and review

E.L.F. warm 32 piece eyeshadow palette swatches and review
I received an e.l.f. 32-piece eyeshadow palette in Warm for my birthday - my first-ever e.l.f. product! This palette contains 32 warm neutral eyeshadows which are decently pigmented and great for every day use.

EOTD: Peacock eyes

I've been obsessed with the purple-and-green combo lately, so I tried out this combination on the eyes. Both eyeshadow colours are from the MUA Glamour Days palette. The eyeliners used are Bourjois Duochrome Vert Dore and Revlon Colorstay in Mauve Spark. Mascara is Max Factor Masterpiece. I rubbed the Vert Dore all over the MUA teal shadow lightly. Here are pics of both eyes, open and closed:

Look what arrived! Early birthday presents :)

These arrived today. And, you know what? I've been whining so loud about my MUA-order-lost-in-post story that a beloved relative sent me a MUA palette! It is the Glamour Days palette and I absolutely love all the shades.
I hadn't heard of Miners Cosmetics UK before but I love the look of these two sets. The shades look so very good and I can't wait to try them all out.
The first (left) is the Masterclass Party Eyes set - it contains three shadows, a highlighter, an eye pencil and a mascara.

The second is the Jewel palette, which contains three shadows, two lip glosses and a blush and two applicators.
I shall swatch them all once I get over just looking at them and pinching myself. If only we hear the words "nothing to worry" about my Gramps on Tuesday, it would be the nicest present ever.
