A few months ago, during a consultation for a bad skin infection, my dermatologist advised me to use facial oils as my oily skin was actually dehydrated, and a well-formulated oil would actually help balance the skin. I spoke to Sandra of Cult Beauty and, with her guidance, selected some facial oils which my skin is now loving. I use them two times a day and they have not broken me out. The quantity of sebum produced by my face once led a colleague to remark that I ought to fear invasions from oil-seeking countries. I do my best to touch up whenever I can or mop it up with blotting paper. But there are times when you cannot... um... be seen pressing an increasingly transparent square of paper to your nose and look dignified at the same time. Or dispose of now-oily square.
Being a huge fan of the Beautyblender - review here,  comparison of pink and black Beautyblender here - I was intrigued when I heard they launched a product called Blotterazzi, which was supposed to replace blotting papers. Quite a few bloggers in the UK and elsewhere had raved over the Autumn-Winter 2013 edition of A Beautiful World Box - it sold out in six hours and was only £20. A Beautiful World sells luxury organic and natural beauty products online and releases limited edition boxes for A/W and Spring containing their exclusive products which you can't find elsewhere. And yes, these beauty boxes ship worldwide.
Having missed the A/W box, I was thrilled to know that they were coming out with a limited edition "Best Of A Beautiful World" box for Christmas, containing bestsellers from their website.
I bought my box as soon as it went on sale. It was sold out in about eight hours! I also got free shipping and a 10% Christmas discount. My box arrived just seven days later by registered post - the tracking says it has only entered the country! The smells of cardamom, orange, sandalwood and other oils hit my nostrils as soon as I opened the external brown box. Everything inside is so fabulous for a nice bit of pampering over the holidays that it feels like my Christmas came early.

When I saw spoilers of the September 2013 Glamabox, I was more excited about the box itself than the contents! The box is designed by French artist Agnes Boulloche and is Alice-in-Wonderland themed. Isn't it gorgeous? It is just a little larger than the Glossybox and is equally sturdy and strong enough for heavy-duty storage and rough handling. This one is a collectible!
Glamabox is based in Hong Kong, and is well known in Singapore and Taiwan. Each item is handpicked by founder and international fashion model Lisa Selesner, who tries them first. The box costs HKD118 a month (That's Hong Kong Dollars. Yesterday and today brought me beauty boxes in the mail. Yesterday's box was the September Lip Factory Box (see here) while today it was the Glam Guru Box. Bag, rather. This box is a Jewish New Year special edition and the theme is "Glamour Holiday".

I've been a Nuxe fan ever since I tried a sample (body cream, followed by the Dry Oil).
