Ciate Pecan Pie nail polish swatch, review, photos

Ciate Pecan Pie nail polish swatch, review, photos
A UK-based brand created by Charlotte Knight, Ciate caters to both nail technicians and salons, as well as to private customers. They have some amazing manicure kits and I can't wait to show you one in particular. I picked up a few of their nail polishes from Sephora Dubai recently, but now wish I had bought out every colour they had in stock, though I can't remember how much I paid for each bottle and Sephora won't attach price tags - the formula is brilliant.
I know I keep reaching for fall colours in spring and summer! I fully intended to paint little yellow suns on this dark brown nail polish from Ciate, named Pecan Pie, but ended up not wanting to ruin the chocolatey goodness with my lousy freehand. I applied this nail polish to go with my neutral brown EOTD with Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, which I showed you on Friday.
Pecan Pie is part of Ciate's Complexion Collection - nail polish shades for every skintone. Pecan Pie is a dark brown with golden microshimmer. The photograph above is taken indoors with flash - I hope you can see the microshimmer. The photograph below is in natural light. The flat brush has 250 bristles. No, I didn't count - the SA had told me that. Application is a dream and the photographs were taken today, and I applied the polish on Thursday. Not bad, not even tip-wear or chipping. Since I change my polish at least one (mostly two) times a week, I can't tell you if wear-time is longer than that.

I have applied two coats here, though one coat goes on quite opaque. I must say I am in love with Ciate polishes now. Creamy,, pigmented and thick formula, which spreads out nicely on the nail - comparable to O.P.I. cremes. The drying time is about average. Plus, how can you not love the cute bow on the bottle? Watch out for more Ciate polishes on this blog.
