Beauty Products Emptied in November 2015 + Link Up

How did you enjoy Black Friday weekend? Hauled much? What are you getting on Cyber Monday? I am on a makeup shopping ban until Boxing Day so I only managed to get some books as Christmas prezzies. I intend to treat myself to something nice on December 26 instead. Let's see if the new Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette appeals in swatches. Meanwhile...

Here are the beauty products I used up in November 2015 and my thoughts on each - and a link-up!

Here are the beauty products I used up in November 2015 and my thoughts on each - and a link-up!

Hair care products:

Phytokeratine conditioner
Phyto's leave-in conditioner is nothing short of AWESOME. It not only curtails frizz pronto, but also makes my hair smells good right until the next wash.
Repurchase? Oh yes! I already have another bottle from LookFantastic's GWP.

Esthetic Mayo Pack
This is my second tube of this Korean "grease-in-a-tube". My hair was going through a recent super-dry phase, so I applied this only on the ends. Not as bad as last time, when I used it in the summer and ended up greasy.
Repurchase? No, far better hair packs out there.

Finesse Moisturising Conditioner
I have been trying different drugstore conditioners for CO-washing - very long hair needs more condish, so drugstore is more sensible. This was not one of my favourites, although I could use it at a pinch. I suppose WEN has spoilt me!
Repurchase? Tresemme is nicer as a budget CO-wash.

Body care products:

Grace Cole Strawberry & Kiwi Body Butter
My favourite body butter brand, Grace Cole is paraben- and cruelty-free. Strawberry is not my favourite fragrance - or flavour - but the quality of the product was unaffected.
Repurchase? Forever!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream
Need I even talk about the quality of L'Occitane products?
Repurchase? Maybe another fragrance. Variety is the... et cetera et cetera.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
I got this as a sample from some airport or the other over the last year. After L'Occitane, this was just about okay. A hand cream ought to be soothing, with pleasant but mild fragrance, IF any, and ought to be comforting and remind you of nice things and cheer you up no end. I don't ask for much, do I?
Repurchase? No. It does not tick my "checklist".

CNKCOS Transformer After Sun Solution
This was supposed to be an after-sun cooling care bi-phase product that you mix and shake till the liquids turn into a yellow gel. I had a roasty day out so I used it up. My gripe is that you have to use up all the product at once, after opening the bottle, and I did not need that much - waste of product!
Repurchase? No.

Cleansers and masks:

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Lancome Bi-Facil is my HG, but this is the best drugstore option out there. It takes off even waterproof mascara and does not irritate my eyes.
Repurchase? Yes, I have three bottles in stock :)

Halo Dead Sea Mask
There was barely enough for one use in this sample, but it felt like a tingle-free version of Glam Glow. The herbal smell was a bit stronger than Glam Glow, though.
Repurchase? One day, maybe.

Montagne Jeunesse Glacial Clay Spa
Big. Fail. I fell for the word "glacial" and the misleading image of the "gel" on the front, and presumed this would be a nice cooling, soothing, hydrating mask. Wrong! A thick, pale green "gunk", this viscose mess was a pain to get off and I had to pry off half my skin in the end. Worst of all, it was super-drying and my poor, beleaguered face flaked up. Not good when you have pimples. Not good, period.
Repurchase? No way!

Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Gel Sachet
A lovely-smelling cleanser, this came in a trio of sachets. It was gentle on the skin but I have a bazillion cleansers to use up before I invest in new ones.
Repurchase: Some day.

Laura Geller Spackle Mattifying Primer Sachet
This was nice and siliconey and mattified my face instantly. However, I maintain that Porefessional keeps oil at bay for longer than this one.
Repurchase? Not right now.

Face and eye care products:

Saint Peau Collagen Pudding Sleeping Pack
I swear by overnight sleeping packs now and this was sweet-smelling and did not - very importantly - break me out, but made my face look decent the following morning.
Repurchase? No, got other sleeping packs to use up.

Philosophy Eye Hope
One of the better eye creams I have used, this was creamy and hydrating. Not much work on my dark circles, though. Nothing surprising there!
Repurchase? Turns out this is not available now, but I got the three Philosophy eye creams available now instead.

Lancome Absolue Nuit
Night cream, I believe, ought to be day cream without SPF. This is one of the less decent face creams I have tried. I felt it sat on the surface of my skin for a long time.
Repurchase? No.

Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser
If I had to pick cleanser of the month, this would be it! This tiny tube lasted me about six uses. Thick and creamy, it does not lather up as such, but is good enough to remove face makeup at one go.
Repurchase? Yes, once I put a dent in my stash.

Perricone MD Cold Plasma Sachet
The tiny sachet was too small to decide whether I like this product or now. I love the texture, and that alone makes me want to test it out about five times.
Repurchase? Once I try it out properly.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturiser Sachet
A nice lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturiser that is absorbed quickly. I cannot speak for the anti-ageing claims but it did make the dry flakes on my skin seem less.
Repurchase? One day, maybe.

Purederm Nose Pore Strip
I tell you, them nose pore strip thingies just do not work as well as a face scrub. End of.
Repurchase? No. I have a few dozen of the things to get out of my way, though.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum Sachet
This serum has a lovely fragrance and did not contribute to breakouts. I cannot vouch for "age defying" qualities, but this is something I need to test out further.
Repurchase? Maybe... eventually.

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream Sachet
I love overnight sleeping masks but this was too light and felt more like a moisturiser.
Repurchase? No, there are better ones out there.
