LookFantastic December 2015 Beauty Box for Christmas Unboxing, Review

Warning: I scream aloud somewhere along this post. Ah well, you probably guessed why already. Might as well get on with it.
LookFantastic's December 2015 Beauty Box is the last in their Christmas series. This box is, in my opinion, the prettiest of the three. I hope they have special designs for the New Year and then Spring and so on. Their accompanying magazine, now a staple feature, promises new brands and collaborations in 2016.

Scroll down for the contents of the LookFantastic December 2015 Beauty Box for Christmas.

Here are the the contents of the LookFantastic December 2015 Beauty Box for Christmas.

I received:
  1. Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser 50ml
  2. WetBrush Squirt
  3. Codage No3 Radiance and Energy Serum
  4. Eylure Double Lash
  5. Molton Brown Body Wash in Coco and Sandalwood
  6. One scream-inducing bit of junk. Regular readers must have guessed what this is.

I would have been happy with just five products.

Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser 50ml
Big Eve Lom fan here. One reason the LookFantastic boxes - and Advent Calendar - appeal to me is that they have sent me so much of Eve Lom cleansers that I do not need to repurchase for a while. Just as well; the thing is quite expensive - the full-sized tube costs £40. I hope I get another set by the time I run out. Their regular cleanser is the quickest and most efficient makeup removing balm. This is a gentler, morning version.

WetBrush Squirt
I cannot live without my full-sized Wet Brush. I have two minis for my handbags; this third one goes into my car. The "Squirt" brush costs £11.99.

Codage No3 Radiance and Energy Serum
A detox serum for drawn, dull skin, this is meant to erase fatigue and revitalise. The only other Codage product I have tried before is their scrub, which I really liked. Good to try more from this French brand. The price is £31 for 10ml and £73 for 30ml.

Eylure Double Lash Exaggerate
Now that I am brave enough to attempt falsies, I am glad to have different models. This is very dramatic, double-layered and long. Costs £5.10 a pair.

Molton Brown Body Wash in Coco and Sandalwood 100ml
Coco and Sandalwood joins Pink Pepperpod and Black Peppercorn as my favourite Molton Brown fragrances. Costs £18 for 300ml (I got a generous 100ml) and is worth every penny. The. Best. Body. Wash. On. Earth. Ever.

Lord & Berry Pailette Glitter Eye Pencil (mini)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
Lord & Berry Pailette Glitter Eye Pencil
I don't care if it has "glitter" (which barely shows up anyway) or if it mows the lawn for me. A mini black pencil is a mini black pencil is a mini black pencil.

Verdict
I would have loved to receive just the first five products in this box, since they are all firm favourites. Despite the lack of makeup, I don't mind receiving any amount of Molton Brown, Eve Lom and Wet Brushes. The first two - and Codage - are spendy brands and all five are well-known names.
HOWEVER.
Last month, Ipsy sent me a black pencil while LookFantastic sat it out. This month, it is LF's turn; I don't know if Ipsy will further make my Christmas memorable by adding yet another black pencil - I hope not.
Beauty boxes ought to take a New Year's Resolution not to send black pencils out. I am sure we will survive.
FYI, LookFantastic beauty boxes cost £15 individually but less if you get long-term subscriptions (no need to pre-pay, though). You can subscribe here. They ship worldwide and generally send out 5-6 mostly skin- and hair-care products from brands within their shop.

How many black pencils did you get in subscription boxes this year? Too many or too few? Tell me in the Disqus comments widget below.
