Scroll down to check out the beauty products I emptied in February 2016 and my thoughts on each.
Bath and body products:
Skin Food Honey and Jasmine Bath SaltsI love bath salts. This dissolved quickly and the smell was great.
Repurchase? Once I run out of my supersize jars.
Aloe Soothing Vitamin GelThis was my body moisturiser for February. It is supposed to be a face cream, but can you imagine something this thick going near my face right now?
Molton Brown Body Wash in Ylang Ylang x 2Don't get me wrong, this was lovely. But. Molton Brown's Pink Pepperpod, Black Peppercorn and Coco and White Sandal body washes are MINDBLOWING. I've tried about a dozen Molton Brown body wash samples now and those three are just....
Repurchase? I prefer Molton Brown's Pink Pepperpod, Coco and White Sandal and Black Peppercorn.
Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Foaming Bath SoakGot this in my first beauty box swap. Lovely for a bubble bath. I had been "saving" this since 2014 because it is SO awesome but decided to finish it up before it went rancid.
Repurchase? One day.
Rituals Ginkgo's Secret Hand CreamA thick hand cream, suitable for dry weather. I love anything from Rituals and this was no exception.
Repurchase? No, time for something lighter.
Face Care products:
Etude House Tea Tree Sheet MaskI took it slow and only applied a face mask last week. Despite being allowed to use products "sensibly" now, I did not want a heavy cream or pack near my face, so I opted for this non-greasy, light sheet mask. Felt good. There wasn't much serum to rub in, though.
Repurchase? No, I have other sheet masks to go through.
Mizon Acene Derma Clearing TonerMy derm gave me the go-ahead to use toners to exfoliate and balance my skin (and no scrubs). She had suggested Thayer's, but I already had this in my stash. This stuff is lovely for a morning wake-me-up, and I follow with a prescription moisturiser spray.
Repurchase? I am using Thayer's now, but bought two bottles of this stuff from W2Beauty.
Pixi Glow TonicPERFECT for the night. As it contains glycolic acid, my derm told me to avoid using it in the mornings. I don't know if I will do a dedicated review, so suffice it to say that this: 1. fades my hyperpigmentation 2. reduces breakouts (I'm down to TWO right now and neither is cystic, just closed comedones) 3. Smells delightful 4. Does not irritate.
Repurchase? On my second bottle now, ordered three more. Will repurchase forever.
Buy it now and buy it here. These tend to go out of stock every now and then.
Hair Care products:
Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day ConditionerMy second tube of this stuff. The first time, I had used this as a condish. This time, I used it for co-washing and it worked very well for me.
Repurchase? Once I put a dent in my condish stash.
L'Oreal Pro Keratin RefillFrom my first-ever LookFantastic box. I needed the whole sample jar for my hip-length hair. Felt 'cone-heavy and did squat-all for my hair except leave it greasy.
Repurchase? When dressing up as Severus Snape.
Marc Anthony Deep Nourishing Conditioning TreatmentOf the three deep-condish treatments I used in February, this one is my favourite. The smell was nice, and my hair felt great afterwards.
Repurchase? I'm saving for Christophe Robin's Prickly Pear mask, so no.
Kerastase Masqueintense x 2Got this in the Kerastase Advent Calendar. Needed both tiny pots to cover my hip-length hair. I prefer this to the L'Oreal Pro but not my favourite hair masque.
Repurchase? No! As above.
