Matte plummy-taupe EOTD with theBalm

Matte plummy-brown EOTD with theBalm eyeshadows
All four of my wisdom teeth turned/are turning up well and truly impacted, perpendicular to the other teeth, growing straight into my cheeks. Two were removed, and my dentist gave me a schedule for other two, but one is now giving me grief as it tries to make its way into the world sooner than expected that I just might need to pre-pone extraction.
Moving to the makeup on the upper half of my face, I must say I love theBalm's eyeshadows. They are soft, buttery and pigmented and stay nicely on my oily lids. For today's look, I picked eyeshadows from two different palettes from theBalm.

Here is my matte eye makeup look using theBalm eyeshadows.

I chose two eyeshadow palettes for this - Meet Matte(e) and Balm Jovi, reviewed here. First of all, I applied Adagio from Balm Jovi as a base, on the brow bone and in the inner corners. This is a matte neutral ivory shadow. I then went in for Alice Cooper (I know, right?) from Balm Jovi on the inner halves of my eyelids. This is a rather shimmery plummy shade but I when I blended it with Adagio, the shimmer stuck to my brush and not the lids.
Finally, I used Matt Batali from Meet Matt(e) in the creases, with a light hand. This is a deeper, less pink and more brown shade which veers towards brownish-taupe than plum.

I finished with Bourjois Erasable Eyeliner. I know there is a lot of hate for this product but it works for me-of-the-klutzy-kingdom. Also featured in this look are Too Faced Lash Injection mascara, Kat von D High Voltage Eye Primer, Lancome Crayon Khol and Benefit Gimme Brow.
Not one of my brightest looks, but I prefer this to the godawful yellow mess I made last week.
