Feelunique 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar 2015 Review

Feelunique's Advent Calendar for 2015 was among the more affordable offerings this year, at just ‎£30 for 12 products, some of which are full-sized. They released the full list of contents on the website but I was - for once, and cross my heart - a good girl and did not look, so the products inside were a complete surprise for me when I unboxed this calendar. This is meant to be opened from December 12 till Christmas Eve, but who has that kind of patience?

Packaging of the Feelunique 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar 2015

Not as sturdy as LookFantastic or QVC, but far superior to Kerastase and Charlotte Tilbury, there was nary a dent or crease when the box arrived - because the external box was sturdy. Unlike other advent calendars, it was easier to get the products out of the capsules here without breaking my nails.
And, after seeing a bunch of white and red Advent Calendars, it was refreshing to get a black and gold box.

Review and unboxing of the FeelUnique 12 Days of Unique Beauty Advent Calendar 2015.

Day 1
Monu Illuminating Primer 25ml
I have tried this before. On flaky, heavy acne-treatment days, this is a good primer that hydrates my skin before I apply liquid foundation. It does not keep my face matte for too long, so it is not a good choice when my skin is oily (normal).
Buy it here.

Day 2
Philip Kingsley Elasticiser 40ml
This is such a cult product. It is a pre-shampoo mask that improves hair volume and health. I already received a couple of these tubes from LookFantastic beauty boxes, but have not tried them yet. Will do soon.
Buy it here.

Day 3
Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream 12ml
This hydrating day cream contains rosehip oil, jojoba oil and camellia extracts. It is also paraben-, sulphate- and cruelty-free. I am chucking it into my travel bag.
Buy it here.

Day 4
Roger & Gallet Gentle Shower Cream 50ml, full size
This smells mild and sweet, and is sulphate- and paraben-free. You know I am in love with Molton Brown body washes, but am always game to try something new.

Day 5
Fleur de Force Eye Shadow Quad, full size
I received Cosmic Bronze, a very wearable neutral combination of shadows. This is my first Fleur product. Will let you know how I get on with the pigmentation and formula.
Buy it here.

Day 6
Phyto Subtil Elixir Hair Oil 10ml
Big Phyto fan here. This is a pre-shampoo oil you leave on for 10 minutes before washing it off. It contains egg yolk, corn germ, karanja and camellia oils and is supposed to provide intense nourishment to the hair. Will try it out this weekend.
Buy it here.

Day 7
Redken Extreme Length Primer 30ml
I first thought this was a post-wash treatment, but it turns out this is a rinse-out deep treatment mask. There should be just about enough for one use, since I have long hair.
Buy it here.

Day 8
This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray 5ml
I love this soothing pillow spray. LookFantastic has already sent out a couple of bottles and it is good to get more.
Buy it here.

Day 9
Gatineau Collagene Expert Smoothing Serum 5ml
I have tried this before from LookFantastic beauty boxes and am a fan of this lightweight, non-comedogenic serum. Going into my travel bag.
Buy it here.

Day 10
Popband Superstar Hair Tie, full size
I am not a huge fan of getting hair ties in beauty boxes or advent calendars. A makeup brush or a lipstick would have been nicer.
Buy it here.

Day 11
Salcura Winter Skin Warming Hand Therapy 85ml, full size
Salcura is a UK-based brand and this hand cream contains coconut, soya bean, wheatgerm and ginger oil and smells of coconut oil. It is rich enough for the driest weather but does not leave greasy residue. Nice.
Buy it here.

Day 12
Nuxe Lip Balm 15ml, full size
Despite being a Nuxe fan, I had not tried their lip balm. Good to receive a full-sized jar of this rich honey-based balm to counter the dry weather.
Buy it here.

Verdict
A great deal for the price. For ‎£30 including worldwide shipping - I also used a 10%-off voucher - I got five full-sized and seven travel-sized products. I love that there are so many full-sized products, and almost no one else has included an eyeshadow quad in their Advent Calendars (I believe Makeup Revolution did, but theirs is single brand).
My gripe is that there is just the one makeup product in this Calendar - the eyeshadow quad. I would have loved to see a lippie or two instead of the hair tie - or even a makeup brush. On the bright side - no black liner pencils, and the skincare and hair care they have sent are all usable.
