Beauty products used up in April 2015

Skin and hair care products I emptied out last month.

Skin and hair care products I emptied out last month.

Despite a tough schedule, I tried to stick to a decent skincare routine in April and did everything on my agenda except sleep well and drink eight glasses of water. I used body moisturisers, scrubs, hair packs and face masks and mists regularly. On the down side, I have a couple of breakouts, possible because of some of these products?

Check out the beauty products I finished in April 2015, and my thoughts on each.

Face products used up in April 2015

Skin and hair care products I emptied out last month.

Vitamin Recharger Mist
I used this to keep my face cool in the humid weather. It did not break me out and I liked the mild citrusy fragrance. The effect was too short-lived, it was not as hydrating as it claimed, oiled me up and I was warm and sweaty all too quickly.
Repurchase? No, there are better face mists out there.

Pot O'Miracle Lip Revitaliser
I bought this for the tin. It was too minty/menthol-y and I'm not a fan of that tingling coolness on my skin, especially not on my lips.
Repurchase? Strewth, no.

Etude House Collagen Eye Patches
These under-eye "masks" were nice and cooling and simply soaked in moisturiser. The thing was a bit runny though.
Repurchase? Maybe.

Muddy Girl Face Pack
There was enough for two uses. Sadly, it overdried out my skin and caused a couple of breakouts, I suspect. Plus, I looked scary each time I applied it!
Repurchase? Only if they give me a job in the catacombs.

Ginseng Nutritious Black Sheet Masks
I had read that these would cause breakouts; thankfully they did not. They were regular sheet masks, nothing special. I did not feel particularly glowy "the morning after" :)
Repurchase? Nein.

Skin and hair care products I emptied out last month.

KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry
I wanted to love this so much but the scent was just too strong. I think there was enough alcohol in there to get a whole ship drunk. Phew.
Repurchase? Never when I'm sober.

Keratase Bain Satin and Lait Vital
I loved the latter - the deep conditioner - but the "Bain Satin" shampoo contained SLS. I finished the conditioner in two uses on my very long hair but the shampoo took a while to finish.
Repurchase? If I can get the conditioner alone.

Ggongji Hair Pack
This was a sheet mask for the hair. I normally love those but this left my hair very, very greasy. So much so that people asked me if I had applied too much oil - and I never "oil" my hair!
Repurchase? Only if I am playing Severus Snape and need greasy hair.

Kiehl's Magic Elixir
A pre-wash treatment with avocado and rosemary oils, this was just brilliant! It took care of my flaky scalp and soothed the itchy, icky feeling. I've run out of the samples and need to hit the Kiehl's counter asap!
Repurchase? Immediatement.

Body care products used up in April 2015

Soap & Glory Flake Away
Among my top three body scrubs of all time! It took me a while to finish the 300ml tub but I loved every second of using it.
Repurchase? I solemnly swear I will.

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel
I had a couple of days at the beach, after which I began using this. I don't have sunburn but it has helped soften my knees (I actually typed niece there first; she's leaving tomorrow).
Repurchase? Maybe I will, maybe I won't.

Bath Gel from hotel
Are you someone who likes picking up skincare products/toiletries from hotels, bring and use your own, and save the hotel wares for use after you return, so you can test it out when you're relaxed at home? I am! I can't help it, I love trying new skincare products, so there. This wasn't a particularly nice shower gel but you never know until you try.
Repurchase? I solemnly swear I won't.

Vitamin Sun Cream, SPF38
Grease-fest with whitish residue and a chemical smell to boot. Enid Blyton readers, I felt like changing my name to Sticky Stanley the Clown each time I applied this. Used it up on my legs.
Repurchase? Not if you threaten to pull out my only remaining, badly impacted wisdom tooth without anaesthesia.

Victoria's Secret Room 504 Body Cream
I got this with the corresponding scent, which I liked, but it felt off on a body cream. The amber came out pungent in the moisturiser, whereas it was great in the spray.
Repurchase? Not when my sense of smell is working.

What beauty products did you use up last month? Found any favourites/pet-hates?
