LookFantastic Beauty Box September 2015: First Birthday Edition

There was a lot of hype around the #LFBeautyBox for September 2015 because it was exactly one year ago that the box launched. I have reviewed the September 2014 box here and also every subsequent box here.
This month's box has a special confetti design to celebrate the first anniversary. It also contains products worth £45 and vouchers worth another £40 (of which I have already used two). But the cost of the box is the same as usual - £15. Just £10.10 if you have an annual subscription.

Review and unboxing of the LookFantastic Beauty Box for September 2015

Scroll down to find out what I received in my LookFantastic Beauty Box for September 2015.

I received a whopping eight products:
  • Phyto Phytokeratine Conditioner
  • Codage Paris Scrubbing Cream
  • Caudalie Vinosourse SOS Thirst Quenching Serum and Moisturising Sorbet
  • Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
  • Sebastian Penetrait Shampoo and Conditioner
  • TanWorx Tan Maintainer
Review and unboxing of the LookFantastic Beauty Box for September 2015

Phyto Phytokeratine Conditioner

Extreme Exceptional Cream for Ultra-Damaged, Brittle, Dry Hair, says the label. This is an intense repair mask. I cannot describe how awesome it smells. I usually love everything Phyto and will use this up one weekend. Downside: I need all 30ml for my super-long hair.
Buy it here.

Codage Paris Scrubbing Cream

Made of organic rice particles, this will exfoliate the skin without being harsh. Paraben- and phthalate-free and not tested on animals, this scrub is to be applied on dry skin until it appears fully absorbed. That is when you must add water and massage until skin is fresh. This 25ml tube should last for a while.
Buy it here.

Caudalie Vinosourse SOS Thirst Quenching Serum and Moisturising Sorbet

What is this, Vive La France week? So far, three products are French brands. LookFantastic, at least, does not seem to be blaming the French for refugees making it past Calais. I love Caudalie products - and every French skincare brand ever - and will definitely use up both these 10ml tubes.
Buy them here.

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

A two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator, this contains rosehip and camomile oils and passion flower extracts. It smells very nice. Bliss is another brand that usually works for me. This sample is 30ml.
Buy it here.

Sebastian Penetrait Shampoo and Conditioner

Since the shampoo has SLS, I will be giving it to my unsuspecting Dad (who once absentmindedly applied cough syrup to his - still incredibly thick - hair). The condish is for strength and repair. It contains parabens and cones, so it goes into my travel bag for weekends away. 50ml each.
Buy them here.

TanWorx Tan Maintainer

No, this is not yet another bottle of fake tan. Had it been, I would have grumbled away, since I have enough for decades ahead, and I already have an intense tan from Italy. This is a moisturiser! It will give your skin a glow, thereby extending the life of your tan. The moisturiser contains hyaluronic acid, carrot, coconut oil, shea butter and seaweed. 60ml.

Verdict

Good job. Since I use up more skincare than makeup, and because these are all good brand names, I am happy with everything I got in this box. And this time, there has been no repetition of products. I love Phyto, Codage and Caudalie. Body moisturiser is always welcome, since I seem to be using it up sooner than they can manufacture. I hope this box marks the return of #LFbeautyboxes to their former glory. LookFantastic seems to have added GHD straighteners in 30 lucky boxes, but I was - and have not yet been - one of them.
There were some neat discount coupons in this box. I used up a tenner-off on GHD, and also pre-ordered the LookFantastic 2015 Advent Calendar. You can buy yours here.
I am not an Advent Calender person and prefer proper Holiday beauty launches. But this is LF's first edition and I got yet another September box free when I ordered the calendar. So there will be double the quantity of these products to use up. Yay - more Phyto!
This box is still on sale here. If you would like to order a long-term subscription, and save on postage and the box, go here. Each box costs £15 - they ship worldwide! - but with an annual sub, each box costs just £10.10 on an average.
