Glam Guru Israel Beauty Box for Holiday 2015 Review

Last month, I told you I was awaiting the latest Glam Guru Beauty Box, released for the Jewish New Year - here it is!
For latecomers, Glam Guru is a seasonal Israeli beauty box I first discovered back in 2013, when this blog was at a nascent stage. They ship worldwide tracked from Israel. They release customisable boxes packed with goodies. You can check out all my Glam Guru unboxings here. Incidentally, it is the only beauty box from which I have repurchased products immediately.
The good thing about getting beauty boxes from around the world is that you stand to discover local goodies from several regions. And, believe me, there are some beauty treasures in Israel that my skin just loves.
The new Glam Guru boxes are customised according to your beauty profile. The box design is beautiful; bridal, even - look!

A quick look at each product:

Cuccio Nail Polish

A pretty, light taupe-pink. I cannot find a shade name, but I think this is shade #26. The polish is full-sized - yay! Cuccio is toluene-, formaldehyde- and cruelty-free. I have been seeing this in a few Birchboxes and can't wait to try it out.

Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Hydrating Cream and Shampoo and Conditioner samples

The Frankincense Hydrating Cream smells really good. I will be using this as a hand cream while travelling. These are actually my first products from Neal's Yard Remedies - I keep seeing them on British beauty blogs so it is nice to finally try them out. The shampoo and the conditioner are going into my travel bag as well.

Malu Wilz Eyeshadow in Shade 62

Don't you love getting makeup in beauty boxes? Well done to Glam Guru for not just sticking to skincare! Malu Wilz is a German brand and this is a light silvery-blue eyeshadow - despite owning my fair share of eyeshadow palettes, I do not have anything like this colour! Separate eye makeup post featuring this eyeshadow coming up!

Tapuach Foot Peeling Cream 30ml

Since I have dry feet that feel warm in the night (even when the air-conditioner is at 17 degrees Celsius), a foot peeling cream is a must-have. I used this tonight in the shower. It is very creamy and the grains are super-fine. Not microbeads, but the kind of grit you find in Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion. My feet aren't as dry as usual and feel softer, so hopefully I can sleep better.

Hila Herbals Halo Makeup Remover and Facial Mask

I have not tried the makeup remover, but have used up the clay-based facial mask already tonight.  It smells very herbal-ly, in a pleasant, earthy way. It tingled when I applied it; more than GlamGlow. It dried very quickly and was easy to rinse off. It left my face squeaky clean, oil-free and soft.

Laboutique Oil Perfume 10ml

Their brands may not be as famous as some fragrance-makers, but the fact is that Israeli perfumes are the longest-lasting and the best smelling. There was a Jasmin Perfume Oil in a previous Glam Guru box that my Mum nicked from me, and then I reordered three as prezzies. The recipients still tell me how much they love it and they reach for it more often than the usual perfume sprays. This roll-on smells sophisticated and night-out-ish.

No. 1 Aura Face & Body Anointing Beauty Oil

Apparently, this is a revolutionary product that changes perception on body care. Be that as it may, look at that cute keyring-bottle! I am going to put this on my keychain just because it looks like that. It smells nice, and would help with dry elbows during the day, so it goes alongside my car keys.

Jasmin Body Mist

Quite a few full-sized products in this box. I am a huge fan of Jasmin perfume oil, which actually stays on even through a shower (See here). "Jasmin" is the name of the company - the products are not jasmine-scented. This body mist has vanilla, lavender and patchouli and smells so fabulous that one trial spray has left my entire room smelling nice. This doubles as perfume and body moisturiser and is lightweight and absorbed easily. Great for those rushy mornings when you don't have time to moisturise AND wear perfume.

Verdict and where to buy the Glam Guru Israel Beauty Box for Holiday 2015

Three full-sized products, of which two are makeup. Ten new brands and amazing fragrances to try. Another big win from Glam Guru. The packaging is beautiful. The products are customised and chosen according to your beauty profile - I can definitely use everything in this box. Best of all, no pencil liners! I cannot really pick what I love best in this box. The beautiful eyeshadow and the body mist, maybe.
You can buy the Glam Guru Holiday Box here for $27.50. Worth it, definitely. This is a great treat for yourself or some one special this season. You can also buy any of the products listed in this box from them. They ship worldwide. Remember, if you order the box, it will be customised according to your beauty profile, so the products you receive will not be the same as those shown here.
I wish Glam Guru would release new boxes more often!
