Six Caudalie Must-Haves For Your Daily Routine

French beauty brand Caudalie was founded by Mathilde Thomas in 1995 - in a vineyard, no less.
Gentle, clean and free from parabens, phenoxyethanol, sulphates, phthalates, mineral oil, artificial colouring and animal-derived raw materials, Caudalie's main ingredient is grape extract - from Bordeaux, Champage and Burgundy in France. Wine country. Think lots of resveratrol.
Caudalie donates a percentage of annual sales to non-profit organisations that work for the environment. The company also works with the WWF to save the rainforests.
Despite being a clean brand with plenty of antioxidant goodies for your skin, Caudalie has quite a few budget options. The difficulty in doing this post was picking out which products to choose.

Here are the six Caudalie must-have products you need in your routine, from cleansing till moisturising.

Here are the six Caudalie must-have products you need in your routine, from cleansing till moisturising.

Cleansing

Micellar Water

Super gentle makeup remover containing extracts of candeia, vegetable glycerin and mint. I love that it does not sting my eyes at all, and does as good a job removing the warpaint as Bioderma.
Price: £9

Gentle Cleansing Milk

Forget the instructions that tell you to apply this on a cotton pad and wipe off. I use this as a face wash. You will need a separate makeup remover, such as the Micellar Water above for the evenings, but this is a gentle morning cleansing option, and contains grape-seed polyphenols, cornflower and oat extract.
Price: £9
Buy it here.

Toning

Moisturising Toner

Perfect for neutralising the face after acids or by itself as a morning - and evening - toner after cleansing. Contains wine yeast extract. Has a gentle fragrance of citrus flower, orange tree leaves, watermelon, and crushed mint. If I had to choose between Caudalie Beauty Elixir and this one, I would pick this for being gentler.
Price: £9

Serums, Oils and Moisturisers

Caudalie has five different serums, all in 1oz/30ml packaging. Having tried out all five, I categorise them like this:
1. Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum; £29:
For dry skin. Lightweight, but supplies a burst of hydration. Good choice if you aren't looking for anything specific other than moisture.
2. Vinosource Radiance Recovery, shown further below; £45:
To target dark spots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. More information further below.
3. Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum;  £45:
Self-explanatory. Firming; lifting. Contains resveratrol and hyaluronic acid, and peptides to boost collagen production.
4. Polyphenol, mentioned right below; £35:
Vitamin C. Great choice for acne-prone skin. More information below.
5. Premier Cru The Elixir; £49:
Big guns. Half-oil, half-serum. For anti-ageing.

Polyphenol C15 Serum

You've seen this among my empties here. Now I have the full-sized bottle. Grape seed polyphenols are the most powerful antioxidants in the world. This serum is a blend of those polyphenols and Vitamin C. Super-gentle, lightweight texture suitable for acne-prone skin; non-greasy, no breakouts. Gripe? Finishes too soon. Full review coming up.
Price: £35 for 30ml/1oz.

Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil

Deserves its own review. Don't be taken in by the "for dry skin" tagline. This is a dream on my oily skin. Contains jojoba oils, rosemary, grape, palmarosa, sesame and rose. I prefer Caudalie Divine Oil for the hair and body, and this for the face.
Price: £26 for an ounce.

Vinosource Radiance Tinted Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF20

Basic tinted moisturiser that keeps you un-blotchy on days when you do not want to or cannot wear makeup. Great choice for a day moisturiser.
Price: £27

Two additional products that you see in the photo above, but not in my original six:

Vinosource Radiance Recovery Serum
Lightens dark spots in four weeks. Great choice for hyperpigmentation after breakouts. I'm on my fourth 10ml tube, thanks to beauty boxes and GWPs.
Price: £45
Buy it here.

Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet
Oily-skinned? 99% moisturisers breaking you out? Go for this one. I wore this during the worst phase of my skin and it was soothing enough.
If you want heavier ammo, go for Vinosource Moisture Recovery Cream. Mentioned in my empties recently.
Price: £23
