Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2018 Contents, Spoilers: Ships WW

I am hyperventilating. We have a launch-date, as well as spoilers and contents of the Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar for 2018. And, this year's promises to be even bigger and better than last year's advent calendar.
Some of you may remember my unboxing of last year's Harrods Advent Calendar - it is here, for those who haven't seen it. Though the calendar cost £250, it was worth more than £595.
This year, the calendar costs the same £250, but is worth more than £680! Apparently, Harrods wants to reward loyal customers by offering even greater value this year. I'm all for it!
Last year's advent calendar sold out within minutes online, and I only got mine because customer care called my phone and took my order. I'm hoping they're equally diligent this year, and that I can get my hands on this beauty.
But before all that, let's take a look at what this year's calendar offers. Harrods ships worldwide, and the calendar launches on October 1, both online as well as in-store.

Scroll down for the full contents and spoilers of the Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar for 2018.

Last year's design featured the facade of the famous Knightsbridge store - so does this year's, though from another angle. It also has the word "beautiful" across the calendar.

Inside, as usual, there are 25 "drawers" - very repurposable. I still have last year's, and use it to organise my desk. The little drawstring bags were apprehended by my Dad for keeping silica gel beads among his antiques. Note to self: Don't take the calendar over to show Mum when Dad is home.

There are other design changes as well - on the inside covers, for instance. The material and size seem very similar to last year's edition.

Warning: SPOILERS RIGHT AHEAD.

For those who would like a breather to watch last year's unboxing, here it is. Please do subscribe to stay updated for this year's advent calendars, and do give me a thumbs-up!

The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2018 contains:

  • 111Skin Black Diamond Cream
  • Sunday Riley Luna Oil OR Tidal Moisturiser
  • Acqua di Parma Colonia Mini Hat Box
  • Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser
  • Anne Semonin Precious Pearl Ice Cube
  • NARS Velvet Lip Glide in ‘Bound’
  • Dr. Sebagh Serum Repair
  • Bobbi Brown Long-wear Cream Shadow in ‘Beach Bronze’
  • Fresh Rose Face Mask
  • By Terry Compact Expert Dual Power in No.7 ‘Sun Desire’
  • Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow
  • Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Material Girl
  • Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (Carnival Edition)
  • Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleaner
  • Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
  • Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Eye
  • Omorovicza Blue Diamond Concentrate
  • Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo and Moisture Balance Conditioner
  • Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster
  • Sisley Supremya Baume
  • SUQQU Pure Colour Blush in ‘04’
  • Clarins Hand Cream
  • Bioeffect EGF Serum
  • Clinique Fresh Pressed
  • Givenchy Rouge Interdit 13
So there are TWO repeats from last year - the Bioeffect EGF serum, and the Dr Sebagh Serum Repait. There was a Brazilian Bum Bum Cream last year as well, but that was the regular edition, not the carnival edition of this year. Everything else is new, and two out of 25 isn't so bad, particularly for two products that cost well above £100 full-sized.

I am super-excited about a lot of things in here, particularly all the makeup. I've never tried anything from Suqqu before, and am looking forward to my first blush. Also thrilled to see a Rouge Interdit from Givenchy - an iconic shade of red here - another By Terry Compact Expert Dual Powder for me (See my review here), a NARS Velvet Lip Glide, the Omorovicza Blue Diamond Concentrate, a Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow, and LOTS more!
Now, is all that worth £250, you ask? Let's have a look.
The Suqqu blush is £32. Huda's Lip Matte is £18, while Givenchy Rouge Interdit is £25.50. The Bum Bum Cream is £18 (75ml, not the 240ml), while the Bobbi Brown shadow is £21.50, and the By Terry powder is £15 (presuming they're including the small version. The larger one is £38). Laura Mercier's powder is £22.
Now, all that together is already £175.
Luna is £45 for 15ml, but I spy Tidal cream in the picture above - that's £20 for 15g. Tata Harper's cleanser is £37 for 50ml. Are we getting that much, or is it, say, 10ml? Omorovicza's Blue Diamond Concentrate is £295 for a mere 30ml. We should be getting 5ml as a minimum.
That's the whole cost of the Advent Calendar, right there. Everything else is free.
I only calculated the products in which I'm most interested. There's a lot more, obviously, that I haven't bothered to add up, but will do during my unboxing.

The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2018 is supposed to launch on October 1. Last year, they gave out the same date, but the launch was delayed until November, so I daresay the date could change. Either way, I'll update here as well as on my social media once the calendar is out - so do bookmark this page.
Harrods ships worldwide for £25, but UK VAT is reduced for overseas orders, so that's about £25 gone and £25 p&p added, so not much change to the total there. The calendar will become available here
