Beauty Expert's Advent Calendar for 2018 is here. It contains 12 products, all full-sized, with a net worth of £450. The calendar costs £100 and ships worldwide.
The calendar is spa-centric, and primarily has skincare and bath and body products. Even so, there are two makeup products.
The packaging is beautiful, and indicates the luxurious brands included. Inside, you have 12 drawers. The material is sturdy, thick cardboard, and you can repurpose the box to store lipsticks, or makeup brushes. I use it to organise my makeup brushes. Very handy.

Selfridges always has a luxury beauty advent calendar, as well as a more budget offering. This year is no exception. I told you about the more affordable Beauty Lovers Selection box here; it is still available worldwide at £70 from here, and makes a great Christmas gift.
The luxury advent calendar is now available for purchase, and also ships worldwide. This year's edition is titled the Selfridges Glam Sparkle Advent Calendar. There are 24 products inside, and it costs £130. The contents are worth more than £300. There are mini perfumes and makeup galore, all from high-end beauty brands.
The original launch date was announced as 26 September, but this one appears to have been postponed by more than a week. Still, the contents are quite nice!

Very quickly, an update for you about all the beauty advent calendars of 2018, including discount codes.
I've already done a post here about more than 40 different beauty advent calendars available this year, and that post includes all the spoilers.
Here, I'm not going to be giving you spoilers. Instead, you'll find discount codes, along with what is already available now. I'm updating everything in the 40+ calendars post as well, but not everyone goes back to check, so this is all the latest information for you.
At one point, I was very unenthused by some of the advent calendars of this year, but that's gone now, and I'm very excited, particularly by some of these. Also, the discount codes make them all the more attractive - I bought Feelunique's advent calendar at some £39 OFF (including a bunch of Guerlain and Inkey List, but I only paid £119 for the whole lot).
I'm not counting the ones that are sold out already - Fortnum and Mason has come and gone, as did Harrods, but the latter has been brought back owing to major demand.

Possibly THE best beauty advent calendar of 2018 is the ELLE Luxury Beauty Advent Calendar. This is ELLE's debut Advent Calendar.
There are 24 products, of which SIX are full-sized. Best of all? The brands and the products. Lots of new things in here. No Eve Lom cleanser. No Omorovicza mist. No Lipstick Queen mini. Different products, from different brands. There's an Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. A Dr Dennis Gross Vitamin C serum. A month's membership to Beauty Pie. A NailsINC polish.
You had me at no Eve Lom cleanser. Honestly!
The calendar costs £125, and is worth more than £340. It is designed by Richard Quinn, in an exclusive print. The curator is Elle's beauty director Sophie Beresiner. I have a nasty feeling this one will not only sell out immediately, but also cross the £200 price-mark next year.

The Feelunique Beauty Advent Calendar for 2018 is different from the last three years' offerings - first of all, this one contains 24 beauty products. Previous editions were 12-day calendars, with only 12 products. Also, this year's calendar costs £75, while previous years' calendars were priced at £35.
As usual, the calendar ships worldwide. Shipping is free to most locations. The calendar is themed the "Little Beauty Parcel" - it certainly looks the part; very whimsical, and the theme is unique and not generically Christmassy the way other advent calendars are.

The ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar for 2018 is now available worldwide here, with 24 products, and it is just £55. I think, based on the contents and price point, this is the best one available so far, though we still have quite a few coming out soon.
ASOS has done some very good advent calendars over the last couple of years. Here is the 2016 edition. You can see the 2017 edition here. Very consistent in terms of contents as well as price.
They also have a 12-day Summer calendar here.

The 2018 LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar is almost in our hands, people! It is indeed available for pre-order here - they ship worldwide, though some brand exclusions may apply to some regions.

Before all that, the 2018 LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar costs £79, just like last year. The 25 products inside are worth more than £300. The calendar launches here on pre-order, and ships worldwide from October. SOME country exclusions may apply depending on brand restrictions.

Last year, the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar did not wow me, truth be told. You can see the contents here. Pretty much everything was sample-sized, except for one MAC lipstick, and the rest of it was not very exciting to boot.
This year, however, they've upped their game, and there are so many exciting products in here to satisfy even the most seasoned nit-picker, yours truly. There's an Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. A Bobbi Brown lipstick. A Lancome Strobing Drop.

For some reason I cannot fathom, the Selfridges Beauty Workshop offering for 2018 - named the Beauty Lovers' Selection Box - contains 19 beauty products! Not 24, not 25, not 12, but 19.
Even if you go by the 2018 Advent date - December 2 - you still get 22 days of Advent this year. So why 19? Why not round it off and make it 20 at least?
This, therefore, is a beauty box and not an Advent Calendar at all. Nor is it being marketed as an Advent Calendar. Strange, since they had a "beauty workshop" 24-day Advent Calendar for the exact same £70 over the last three or four years. 
This will remain one of those unsolved mysteries, and one that will continue to perplex me through the year. They had 24 products in the last two years' advent calendars - here is the 2017 Selfridges Beauty Workshop Calendar. The 2016 Selfridges version is here. So why chuck five this year alone? We shall never know.
Thankfully, there's nothing perplexing about the contents - all top notch! A whole 11 of the 19 products inside are makeup, and there's a full eyeshadow palette!

You know I'm all excited when Advent Calendar season is here, and all those gorgeous boxes, choc-a-bloc with goodies, start showing up.
This year, I am a bit early with my Advent Calendar posts. First, here is a list of more than 40 beauty advent calendars coming up for Holiday 2018, including release dates, prices, net worth, and spoilers. Then, I will be posting full contents and sale announcements as and when each of these goes live. Finally, I will be posting unboxings once I get my greedy paws on the advent calendars.

For some of these, I already have spoilers, but I have spoiler warnings in my video, as you will see in a bit, so you won't have to know anything you don't want to scroll down (at the same time you can get to know about all the calendars), and the surprise element will still be there for you, if you so wish.
Before all of that, a quick detour for those who are new to all this - what under the canopy am I talking about?
An Advent Calendar (a calendar that has a countdown during Advent, right up to Christmas, often with a Nativity scene, a poem, or a little surprise, behind each date).
A Beauty Advent Calendar, obviously, is a curation of beauty products arranged behind closed windows, doors, or boxes, in a "calendar" format, as a countdown to Christmas Day.
Here, I'm showing you more than 40 of the best beauty advent calendars to look forward to for Christmas 2018. There are spoilers for some of the beauty advent calendars mentioned here - I have warnings for those!
Before we get going, one more thing - the vast majority of these do ship worldwide. There COULD be some exceptions depending on the brands included, and if there are perfumes or nail polishes or other HAZMAT inside. I will specify if I know about this for sure. Again, individual country exceptions could apply even if I'm told that they ship worldwide.

The FIRST Beauty Advent Calendar of 2018 to go on sale is from French brand Decleor!
Last year, the calendar sold out in two weeks flat, and fans of the brand as well as of French skincare will be chomping at the bit for this one. This year's advent calendar contains 24 products, like the last two years. The price has gone up from £60 in 2016, and £65 in 2017, to £80 in 2018, but the net worth of the contents this year is £258 - it was £233 last year, and £180 the year before that. BUY IT HERE!
Now, before I show you spoilers, a few other details. This one ships worldwide. Three products inside are full-sized. The calendar is themed "For December I Just Want To Glow".

I am hyperventilating. We have a launch-date, as well as spoilers and contents of the Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar for 2018. And, this year's promises to be even bigger and better than last year's advent calendar.
Some of you may remember my unboxing of last year's Harrods Advent Calendar - it is here, for those who haven't seen it. Though the calendar cost £250, it was worth more than £595.
This year, the calendar costs the same £250, but is worth more than £680! Apparently, Harrods wants to reward loyal customers by offering even greater value this year. I'm all for it!
Last year's advent calendar sold out within minutes online, and I only got mine because customer care called my phone and took my order. I'm hoping they're equally diligent this year, and that I can get my hands on this beauty.
But before all that, let's take a look at what this year's calendar offers. Harrods ships worldwide, and the calendar launches on October 1, both online as well as in-store.
