It is Advent Calendar season again - my favourite time of the year, and when you'll see my dour expression replaced by excitement and animation.
Over the coming weekend, I will have full spoilers and contents of more than 40 beauty advent calendars up for you, both here as well as on my YouTube channel. But because this one is always a sell-out, and because it was my own first-ever beauty advent calendar (I haven't missed one in four whole years), I thought I'd tell you about the LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for 2019 rightaway.
Like last year (see here), the price is £79. Like last year, there are 25 products. However, the worth of the contents inside is £420! It was only 300 last year.

Very quickly, an update for you about all the beauty advent calendars of 2018, including discount codes.
I've already done a post here about more than 40 different beauty advent calendars available this year, and that post includes all the spoilers.
Here, I'm not going to be giving you spoilers. Instead, you'll find discount codes, along with what is already available now. I'm updating everything in the 40+ calendars post as well, but not everyone goes back to check, so this is all the latest information for you.
At one point, I was very unenthused by some of the advent calendars of this year, but that's gone now, and I'm very excited, particularly by some of these. Also, the discount codes make them all the more attractive - I bought Feelunique's advent calendar at some £39 OFF (including a bunch of Guerlain and Inkey List, but I only paid £119 for the whole lot).
I'm not counting the ones that are sold out already - Fortnum and Mason has come and gone, as did Harrods, but the latter has been brought back owing to major demand.

The 2018 LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar is almost in our hands, people! It is indeed available for pre-order here - they ship worldwide, though some brand exclusions may apply to some regions.
I have full spoilers for you further below. I also have spoilers of more than 40 different beauty advent calendars for 2018 right here.
Before all that, the 2018 LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar costs £79, just like last year. The 25 products inside are worth more than £300. The calendar launches here on pre-order, and ships worldwide from October. SOME country exclusions may apply depending on brand restrictions.
There are eight makeup products in here, seven of which are full-sized (the mascara is a mini). There are two whole palettes in here. There's everything apart from concealer and foundation that you need for a full makeup look in the Holiday season and beyond.

You know I'm all excited when Advent Calendar season is here, and all those gorgeous boxes, choc-a-bloc with goodies, start showing up.
This year, I am a bit early with my Advent Calendar posts. First, here is a list of more than 40 beauty advent calendars coming up for Holiday 2018, including release dates, prices, net worth, and spoilers. Then, I will be posting full contents and sale announcements as and when each of these goes live. Finally, I will be posting unboxings once I get my greedy paws on the advent calendars.

For some of these, I already have spoilers, but I have spoiler warnings in my video, as you will see in a bit, so you won't have to know anything you don't want to scroll down (at the same time you can get to know about all the calendars), and the surprise element will still be there for you, if you so wish.
Before all of that, a quick detour for those who are new to all this - what under the canopy am I talking about?
An Advent Calendar (a calendar that has a countdown during Advent, right up to Christmas, often with a Nativity scene, a poem, or a little surprise, behind each date).
A Beauty Advent Calendar, obviously, is a curation of beauty products arranged behind closed windows, doors, or boxes, in a "calendar" format, as a countdown to Christmas Day.
Here, I'm showing you more than 40 of the best beauty advent calendars to look forward to for Christmas 2018. There are spoilers for some of the beauty advent calendars mentioned here - I have warnings for those!
Before we get going, one more thing - the vast majority of these do ship worldwide. There COULD be some exceptions depending on the brands included, and if there are perfumes or nail polishes or other HAZMAT inside. I will specify if I know about this for sure. Their 2018 collection is here, and the eggs look fabulous. There are seven beauty products, just like last time, and there's a total worth of more than £200. Like last time, it contains mostly skincare and haircare products.
What is the LookFantastic Beauty Egg Collection? It is an assortment of beauty products that LookFantastic has been releasing for Easter for two years now, packaged in individual eggs, all collected in a beautiful repurposable box.
Like last time, it comes in the same gorgeous hatbox packaging, with a similar colour scheme. This one is HUGE, people - make sure you have enough storage space before you buy.

As expected, February's LookFantastic Beauty Box has a Valentine's Day design, with a pink-red-gold colour scheme, and a product booklet featuring red hearts. The box is themed Beauty Rendezvous, and contains products that you would need for your "rendezvous". Tryst, if you like!
There are six products in the box, and the Elle UK magazine for the month is also included. They've recently taken to popping the mag inside the box itself, having increased the size of the beauty box. This actually makes the products inside seem smaller!

A New Year means taking stock of everything, beauty box subscriptions included. I've decided to keep just the one subscription box this year, and it is the LookFantastic Beauty Box.
Why? For starters, it's just £12 or so per month, since I'm on a long-term subscription. For another, I don't pay upfront; only each month when the box ships out. For a third, there are some nice perks, such as a discount on the amazing Advent Calendar. Fourthly, on an average, the boxes are quite nice, and come with extras such as the Elle Magazine.
So let's take a look at LookFantastic's first beauty box for 2018. They've revamped the box design - a nice periwinkle blue and mint green combo. The product leaflet has also undergone a makeover.

The reason my unboxing of the LookFantastic Beauty in Wonderland Advent Calendar for Holiday 2017 is at least three weeks later than expected is that I was hospitalised with an acute anaphylactic reaction - to goodness knows what; we can only do an allergy test after all the medications stop. This was on top of a foot injury. Basically, I woke up one morning with severe urticaria and couldn't move half my joints including my neck, and I ended up being pumped with steroids, which in turn gave me bad acne. I missed my Mum's birthday on October 27, while in hospital. That's what I call bad luck.
But the contents of the LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for 2017 - and the packaging - are absolute, 100% good luck. Apart from one freak goof-up, this calendar is the best I've seen so far this year, as you will see below. I also want to show you the amazing attention to detail they've paid to the packaging.

This is a very exciting beauty box. LookFantastic has collaborated with Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza to bring out an exclusive, luxurious beauty box this Autumn. The box is worth £209.30, and costs £79. It contains six products, of which three are full-sized.
I'm a huge fan of the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm - my favourite balm cleanser - and the incredibly luxurious and refreshing Queen of Hungary Mist (they should make this a perfume and sell it. Mmmmmm!), so I'm very excited about this box. The price point of Omorovicza products is the one thing I'm not a fan of, so this box means we can get a few goodies at a bargain price!
ONE item alone in this box costs as much as the box itself. And, extremely limited numbers are available!

This year, there are so many new names jumping on the Beauty Advent Calendar bandwagon, right from luxury store Harrods, to drugstore favourite Soap & Glory. The theme "Global Glamour" indicates that the August 2017 LookFantastic Beauty Box contains travel essentials that will keep you looking good through your vacation. Being more of a skincare box, I didn't really expect an eyeshadow quad or a mini lipstick, but I knew there would be a good variety of minis I could stash into my suitcase.
The box is mint-green with a world map outlined. It contains the month's Elle UK issue and the in-house magazine.

Given that the most exciting item in the LookFantastic Beauty Box for July 2017 arrived all smashed up, I decided not to do a video unboxing. This box contained an excellent curation of products, but was spoilt entirely by the vagaries of the postal system. Ah well, the perils of shipping makeup.

I shot a video of this unboxing over the weekend, only to find that the results were way too dark in this sunless, rainy weather. Turns out it's the Sony Handycam's fault, while my Canon DSLR is a far better choice for videos under poor lighting conditions. Lesson learnt.
LookFantastic's June 2017 beauty box is the Wanderlust edition - obviously containing travel essentials. The box design is one of the prettiest till date. Size has gone up as well, and now the box itself accommodates the Elle UK magazine for the month.
