Swatch and review: Stila Longwear Lip Color and Liquid Lip Stain

Stila Longwear Lip Color is an old product, but my blog has only been around for four months or so, and here it comes. I have #Serenade.
Packaging: Adore the aluminium finish tube and the dome-like bit of product for application.
Formula: Sheer, very sheer. Light, un-waxy and non-sticky. Non-drying.
Shade/Colour: Serenade is suitable for daily wear and you can't go wrong with it. It has a metallic shine to it, but remains very subtle. Love the colour, but you have to lay it on a bit for it to show up.
Staying power: Sorry, people. Zilch. Nada. A glass of water and... poof! At least, for me. If it has lasted longer for anyone else, I'd love to hear it. I'm not sure what all that polymer stuff even does.
Would I repurchase? Nope.
After that, I didn't expect much from Stila Liquid Lip Stain in #Smooch, but was pleasantly surprised.
Packaging: Lovely aluminium-finish tube that feels heavier than anticipated. You have to store it upside-down, though, as it is a stain.
Formula: Sheer but buildable; light and very quick-drying. Doesn't taste bad like most lip stains. But why on earth does it contain four different parabens?? I didn't except that from Stila!
Applicator: Though a felt-tip, it is flat on one side, which I love. What I didn't like was that the applicator tends to dry up, so you have to wait if you want to layer it on thickly till the product comes back to the tip.
Shade/colour: Smooch is also subtle, and I adore this colour - paaaale red?
Staying power: Brilliant! This swatch stayed on until my second shower the following morning.
Would I repurchase? I'd like to try another colour - but enough already with the parabens, please.
