LookFantastic November 2015 Christmas Beauty Box 2 Review

LookFantastic's November 2015 beauty box arrived earlier than usual, before mid-month. Incidentally, my Advent Calendar has also arrived and it is GARGANTUAN, but that is for another post.
The November box is the second in LookFantastic's Christmas trilogy. All three boxes feature special snowflake designs. You can see last month's box here.

This month's box includes a little newsletter in lieu of the usual product card. I like this much better!

Bellapierre Mineral Lipstick in Ruby Red
This is the brightest shade of red I have ever owned. I prefer dusty rose/subtler shades, but since every woman has to own a red lipstick, I just got Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Red anyway. So this goes unswatched into my giveaway box.

Ole Henriksen Empower Foaming Milk Cleanser
It is not often that you come across a cleanser that lathers well, removes all makeup with one wash, and does not strip the face of everything and make your skin feel tighter than undersized shapewear. This one fits all the criteria. It also contains Arctic cloudberries, Nordic cotton and willow bark. Love the stuff!

Dr PawPaw Tinted Ultimate Red Balm
The red tint of this thick, fragrance-free balm is deeper than I expected. I have tried untinted Dr PawPaw balm before and loved it. It contains olive oil and aloe vera and is always welcome for my dry lips. This is a good choice when you want a sheerer wash of colour, and can be used on the lips and cheeks.

Kebelo Enriching Hair Masque (pictured)
This hair mask is intended for naturally dry hair. Check. It contains guar sugar, grapeseed, bran and argan oil. What I don't get is their instructions: Apply to just-washed, wet hair. Comb through after massaging into scalp and hair. Wait for 10-20 minutes. Then shampoo and condition. Why would I want to shampoo my hair two times in one day unless a bird has taken a dump while flying above my head? Besides, once you apply a post-shampoo deep-moisturising hair mask, I thought you should just rinse it off as the final step?

Korres Guava Shower Gel
I like Korres and this smells absolutely delicious and tropical-fruity. It contains vitamins C and E, aloe vera, zinc and antioxidant enzymes. Going into my travel bag.

Ren V-Cense Youth Vitality Day Cream
For me, the presence of a day cream is a bit meh in this box. Although I like Ren, I wish - stop the papers - they had sent a pencil liner or something instead. It's just that... what is a day cream sample doing in a Christmas box, y'know? Either the Korres shower gel or this day cream - one of them could have been replaced with something else; maybe a foot cream or something.

Verdict and where to buy

There is a lipstick and a tinted balm (both full-sized) in this box. May this be the sign of things to come, and we get more makeup and more full-sized products in future LookFantastic boxes! I also like that they sent out a cleanser and a hair masque.
LookFantastic Advent calendar 2015However, I wish they had avoided either the day cream or the shower gel minis and replaced one of them with something else. A bit of primer would make me a happy camper. Not a bad deal for 11 quid, right?
As I told you before, I got my LookFantastic Advent Calendar (pictured) and, boy, is that thing monstrous or what! I am hoping it has a great balance of makeup, hair care, face care and body care and bath products. Twenty-five products, so I'll be polite and take five of each. Sadly, the calendar is sold out now, so I can't tell you where to buy it.
However, the LookFantastic November box and subsequent beauty boxes are very much available here. Each box costs £15, but longer subscriptions cost only £11.25, and they will not bill you upfront.
They also have the Keratase Advent Calendar available now, which this sucker bought after seeing spoilers online - with free worldwide tracked shipping. Believe me, that shizz is worth it and I'm going to get so many hair masks to nourish my straw-like hair. It ships out from November 20, in time for Advent!
