Charlotte Tilbury's Advent Calendar for Holiday 2017 is here, and it is themed the "Naughty and Nice Magic Box." The 2016 calendar from Charlotte Tilbury looked like this. And, here's my review of the 2015 Charlotte Tilbury Book of Makeup Magic Advent Calendar.
The 2017 Advent Calendar costs £150 - like the two previous editions - and contains 12 products. But are the contents truly different? Or is this calendar not worth it? Read on.

The packaging is very pretty and feminine, and the calendar opens out to reveal 12 drawers.

Items marked in red are REPEATED in the 2017 and 2016 calendars. Items marked in green are repeated BUT with different shade/size choices. So that means only ONE item - marked in blue - is completely new and unique, and it belongs to the 2016 calendar.

Again, six repeats from 2016 or 2017. Four products with shades alone differing, in green. Two unique products in blue. Not good.
It's not like CT has no other products to choose from! There are several products in her range which could have been included in here. I would have loved to see a mini Hollywood Lips lippie in the 2017 edition. Or a bit of bronzer. Highlighter. A makeup pouch. A travel brush. A cream eyeshadow. A sample pod of Magic Foundation, containing 4-6 shades.
Verdict, and where to buy:
If you haven't bought a Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar before, this makes a nice way of trying out some new products. But - if you've got one in the previous years, the product repetitions mean that there's no point in splurging £150 on this year's edition, unless you want the contents for travel or something. There's nothing new for those who have already bought a CT Advent Calendar in a previous year.You're better off spending £79 on LookFantastic, or, if you want 100% luxury, add up another £100 and spend it all on the Harrods Advent Calendar, which will launch next week (and is calling out my name even in my sleep).
